Gardens at Manteo

Gardens at Manteo
4.5 x 6.5 inches

This image was inspired by a visit to the Elizabethan Gardens at Manteo, North Carolina. What a lovely place that is. Walkways that meander on forever with something new at every turn. The day we toured there started out cloudy but soon enough the sun broke through casting all sorts of wonderful light and shadow patterns. I liked this view where through the dappled sunlight a bright spot appeared just as the path made a turn toward something new.

This piece was created with artists' quality pastel on acid free Colourfix sanded pastel paper. It comes in a white 11 x 14 mat ready to frame.

Spring has just arrived yet I am already looking forward to seeing our flower garden blooming. While I still have a couple more months before that happens, I am enjoying drawing these flowers, just waiting for the real thing.

These are original ACEOs, each is 2.5 x 3.5 inches, colored pencil painting using artists quality colored pencils on Strathmore 500 series archival Bristol paper. They are initialed on the front and signed on the back.

ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Editions, and Originals". These are original, collectible, works of art that can be stored in a trading card album or displayed in a frame.
