Coming Back
This is a scene I keep revisiting, in my art and in real life, with every opportunity we have to travel to the South Carolina coast. The beauty of the marsh lands there never cease to captivate my attention. Number 8 of my 100 painting project.

Sky
Number 7 of my 100 painting project. I decided to focus on just the sky with this one. It's nice to remember what summery blue skies look like this time of the year.

Path
This is number one in my 100 painting project for 2010. You can read more about this project here, on my studio blog, Blue Bird Hill. This year I will attempt to complete 100 small paintings. I will be offering most of them for sale at my Etsy shop.
It seems appropriate that the first painting is a sunny path, as I begin this painting journey. This piece started life as an acrylic painting. When I covered the acrylic with oil paint, it came to life.
